How to reverse order topics

I want to order topics so they are in chronological order. The default is reverse chrono (newest first).

I thought I've seen a setting for that but after repeatedly scrolling through all the admin screens I do not find it.

Is there a setting in Admin or even in the code where I can cause the topics to remain in the order in which they are posted, with the the oldest at the top and the newest at the bottom?

You'd have to modify MessageIndex.php to do that, but sorry, don't have enough information to help any further - like the version number, whether it would apply to all boards, that kind of thing.

Profile>Look and Layout>Show most recent posts at the top.

Doesn't checking/unchecking that do this?
