Okay so I've gotten the converter to actually work all the way from what I know. The converter.php file when I used it said everything was successful and went on about deleting the converter file. However I have done that because obviously it hasn't worked right.

When I try to log in at first it told me password security has been changed please reenter your password. So of course I do. Well then it tells me that my account needs to be reactivated so I click the link to have it send me an activation code. I click the link in my email and it tells me that my account has not  been approved. I'm like What the Flip is going on here. This is my admin account that I"m trying to log in with from phpBB3 and the account I created on install is gone now. Its like missing and when I try to log in with it tells me invalid username.

I downloaded the converter from here: http://download.simplemachines.org/?converters;software=phpbb

I selected phpBB3 to smf 2.0 -rc4

So I've also looked around on the forums here and did notice some problems that people found in the converter and told other to change them to. I've pretty much have done that and reran the converter and still same thing can't log in whatsoever.

So Can I get some help please. Don't know what I'm missing.

You know if you want people to use your service, why is it so hard to get any kind of answer? I guess we won't be converting to SMF!

Hey guys, sorry you haven't had any response. Currently the Team doesn't have anyone dedicated to the converters for various reasons. But if you'd still like to look at this problem, I would first check the members table in your database for the user that you are saying "does not exist". See if the account exists. If it doesn't then there's something we need to look at. If you are unable to login because the account is not activated, I suppose there could be a problem with the converter not getting that part right, but a simple change in the members table row titled "is_activated" should fix that. Setting is_actived to 1 should activate the account. TAke a look at the row for other accounts and see if it has disabled them as well.
