Thats a good idea.

But maybe as an option in the admin panel, multi-lingual sites would benifit from it.

Gri has asked me to explain this feature a bit more, I understood what he meant.

Right now SMF lets you change the language in your profile, but if your registering at a site and your English, but half the board is German and the default language is German, then unless your familiar with SMF you wont know what to click. So if you have multiple languages, a feature could be admin activated to show flags just below the menu for guests to see if its a multi-lingual board.

And also have a language selection on the registration screen if you have multiple languages installed, and have the profile option incase its ever needed.

A reason why this would be needed is guests find forums through links, adverts and global quotes. It would be useful for them just to look up to the top of topic and select a language for the forum until they registered and set their own language.

I will need around 10-12 different languages on my forums...
I will be transferring from serveral forums i had up prior to me new site etc...

Is there a possibility that SOMEone could take the dropdown language selection from Profile > Modify Profile > Account related settings
and add it to the front page, so that anyone, including guest can easily switch between languages by dropping down a box and selecting?

If this is possible, or it has already been done, OR if there's a simpler alternative... PLEASE let me know.

i asked this before but they suggested me some code hacks, i couldnt do it

why not to make it default in beta 4 ?
