I'll suggest that you switch to PHP for the time being, and contact your host for the correct SMTP details.

Hi,

I have tried to contact my hosting provider on regards with the setting.. i have tried it and it still would not work.
Is there any other ways to make it work?

Colin

Is there a reason you don't want to use PHP Send_Mail?

Hi,

I am actually using default PHP but the confirmation was not able to received by news members sign up.

Please advice if there is anyway to configure PHP email for the forum.

Thanks ^^

Please read the page below, especially following the instructions in the last paragraph. If that does not work then as you have a 550 error I'd be inclined to go back to your host. To some extent it depends on what sort of hosting you have ?

E-Mails - Why are members not getting emails sent from the forum

Out of interest, are you using an email address that is assigned to your domain as your webmaster email? Or an external email address located somewhere else ?

Were you able to receive the message? Did you check your spam folder? If not who is your host?
