Hi there,
I've installed smf 2.0.4 and got problem, as topic is named. Every time I click Features and options (as well as Security and Moderation or server settings....), I'm redirected to home page. Installing it manually, via webinstall or via softaculus doesn't solve it either. No mods are installed, only clean install. After running Routine I've got this:
SMF File       Your Version    Current Version
SMF Package    SMF 2.0.4    SMF 2.0.4
Sources                   2.0.4           2.0.4
Default Templates    2.0                  2.0
Language Files    2.0.4           2.0.4

What could be the problem?

tuxii I have split your post from the other topic and made a new one.

The other topic was 3 years old.

I suspect that your host is running mod-security or you have some sort of htaccess file interfering...
are you running the forum in a subdirectory underneath a wordpress install by any chance?

I suspected as much.

I believe that your wordspress .htaccess file is interfering with your smf installation

EDIT: did run repair_settings.php and got some errors. After fixing them, problem still persists
