Hi,
I have installed Bulgarian language pack, but some symbols in the forum are not good. You can see example on attachment.
Any idea how to fix that?

Forum: SMF 2.0.7

Arantor

Did you install the UTF-8 language pack without converting your forum to UTF-8?
Holder of controversial views, all of which my own.

Hi. I just install SMF with Wizard, which is given from my hosting. The installation is in English. Then I install language pack in UTF-8.
I don't about the converting, where to check?

Hristo

He has used Fantastico to install SMF and Fantastico is known to cause this problem because his case is one of several discussed recently (in Bulgarian child board).

you should never use those auto-installers...  However

Hi, thanks, I will try, just one question:
Press proceed; your database will be converted.
The database will be converted only for the smf forum? Right? Because I have other subdomains and I don't want to make a mess. :)

Kindred

do you have other things installed in the same actual database? (not the same server, but the same database)

Yes, when I enter in phpMyAdmn, there are more 10 tables on the left.
The tables are for:
SMF forum: www.forum.site.com [nofollow]
I have for www.site.com [nofollow]
Also for www.gallery.site.com [nofollow]
and more for www.site.com [nofollow], some plugins

10 TABLES?
or 10 DATABASES?

If each application has its own database, then you are all set.
If you have multiple applications using the SAME database... then tsk to you...  don't do that in the future.

Well, I have one Database, with 19 tables for all my hosting :) What next?

Illori

no you dont have 19 tables for all your hosting as smf alone has more then 19 tables.

you must have 19 different databases each with their own tables inside.

When I check again - yes, you are right! Thanks!
So I can continue with converting :)

Hi,
so far so good. I just delete all categories and create new. Now is OK.
The problem is that the name of category was with old names. After convert to UTF, I just create new.

Thanks to everyone!
