spam with links in signatures

Last time many bots, exactly from  Russia registering on our forum *forumkavkaz.com* with advertisement links in signatures. Yesterday I deleted several hundred such "users" and as well I installed not bad mod which is restricting links for new users. But there are others users, who was registered in old time and difficult to fix them.  Is any way to convert for all old users links in signatures, to text or put them into "code" tags or just delete links?

Why not delete the member(s) and set that to delete all their posts, too?

If the members were just Spamtards, you won't be losing much...

What about the function to "Remove Inactive Members"? If you set that to remove members who haven't logged in, for x number of days...

Not sure that removes their posts, though. Silly that there's not a setting, for that (Unless I'm going blind).

This also may hit normal users. some users may return and start to post, or some others just subscribing for news.
Any option, which can remove or change links in old signatures -this is a way.

You can delete all signatures containing links with a mysql query -

UPDATE smf_members SET signature=null WHERE signature LIKE '%[url%';



Legitimate members who have links in sigs would have to redo them, but it shouldn't be a big problem if you post a message or news item explaining what was done.
