Could be your Administrator has demoted you?

Need more info please.

Are you an Admin, Global Moderator?

Do you see any error messages?

Any new modifications installed recently?

Also, smf version?
I guessed from the topic title he was using 2.0.9  ;)

WHOOPS!   haven't had enough coffee this morning. :D

nunosaint...
if the action redirect you to the boardindex (aka the homepage), that suggests that one of three things has happened...
1- some edit you made to your index.php action array has screwed up the array and those actions are no longer recognized
2- you have your forum installed in a subdirectory, with WordPress running on the main site...   and your wordpress "security" add-ons are screwing up your forum.
3- you host has seriously misconfigured mod_security

Kindred

hence your problem.

WordPress is a HOG!

It tries to take over your entire site, including subdomains.

Your problem is related to one of the so-called "security" add-ons that you installed under WordPress.

Also, when you go to your profile and are kicked to your board index, what shows up in your url? The profile link or just /index.php?

Please don't create the same support question in the localized area (Portuguese) and in the "general" English boards ;)

About your issue...
Since you only get index.php in the URL, you are being redirected and that is *NOT* a SMF action. To explain:
If you write in your browser an action that SMF doesn't regonize, eg:
http://localhost/smf2/index.php?action=this_action_doesnt_exist
SMF will show you "BoardIndex" BUT the URL that you see on the browser is the one you *TRIED* to access, like the link I just added.

This behavior replicates itself when you go into "areas under actions" or "subactions under actions". When a "sub-something" is unknown, SMF will show you the default "sub" that it knows. Another example, profile settings where you can change your password. The usual link is:
http://localhost/smf2/index.php?action=profile;area=account;u=1
So "area=account" is a known area of "profile" action, ok? Now, if I write this:
http://localhost/smf2/index.php?action=profile;area=random_idiot_area;u=1
SMF shows me the profile summary, which is the default "sub-action" of "profile" BUT the URL that stays in the browser is the one I *TRIED* to access.

All this to say that SMF does NOT redirect you. If you just get index.php, not "?action=profile;area=something", then Kindred is probably right and your are another victim of the power of WP ???

Sorry...

when i click in action http://forum.abcd.pt/index.php?action=profile;area=account;u=1 [nofollow]

return to http://forum.abcd.pt [nofollow]

Kindred

which means that you have a redirect going on somewhere... and that is NOT an SMF action as margarett has said.

Either you have a bad htaccess set up...

Or you have wordpress set up in your main domain, with one of those badly configured "security" add-ons

margarett

Yeah, that's not really caused by SMF...

Try to disable some of WP's "security" plugins to see if that helps.

edit: ninja'd :P
