Restrict Post?

Doesn't seem, as if there's a way to restrict posts; no deeper than boards.

No...I know that would just be a lock. I mean, not even being able to see/read threads...within the board.

IF you want to do this by the board then you can modify the "allowed groups list" (Profile > Forum > Boards > Modify Boards) for those that need access for that particular board or else they don't see it.

you may also need to create additional membergroups and assign them.

however, i use the Password Protect Boards mod also.

i think you are more looking for a help desk type mod. http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=2491 would be easier to setup and use then those mods and less prone to allow wrong people to see the contents of the messages.

Helpdesk is useful - i only allow staff to use it as it doesn't use the main boards.
