i want to make rectangles like here when u post and center them

you need to edit display.template.php on your theme to move the position of the stars and add a simple code to centre them horizontally to the themes css.  Unless you can let us know what theme you are using then we can help more (also smf version)

I think the OP wants rectangles around where the number of posts, etc. are listed, Bryan.

You can do it with this mod (though it will put rectangles around each line): http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=3932

As for centering, you'd have to do as Bryan says in the theme's css file.
