Bug on edit box

In greek laguange every word with more than one syllabs has to take the accent mark.
For example fόrum.
In every word processor if you want to add this accent mark you press the key ";" before the letter.
If you pressed and you want to cancel it you simply press the backspace before pressing the letter which will take the mark.

Alhtough this system was working fine in SMF 1.0.x
it doesn't work in SMF 1.1 RC1.
More spefically if you press the Backspace it removes not only the accent mark but another two letters of the word as well!!

Please take care of this bug cos it's very annoying.
Im at your disposal if you need any help at greek language.
