Logout Button/link on Joomla Menu

Hi,

I was wondering how I could create a logout buttom on my Joomla menu?
I am running SMF Bridged (Wrapped).

If I try to use the button and remove the session ID it doesnt seem to work. I am not sure what would be the best way around this.

use the logout button in the mod_smf_login module....

OK, But when I create a new menu item, how do I select to use the mod_smf_login module? Sorry it this is a stupid question!

You do not select menu items for modules.

You select the module to appear in the modules list.

Could either of you tell me if this is ok.  I created a new menu item under the user menu of joomla for the logout.  I made the menu item a link http://yosmo.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=27&action=logout&returnurl=2&sesc=1f351ffa51ffb10945ce9e2197924198 [nofollow]
It works fine and logs users out of both joomla and smf.  I just want to know is this the right way to do this?

You will find that will not work for anyone else, nor will it work if you close your browser and come back.  The "sesc" part of that URL is a unique session ID, which is set by SMF.  THat is why it is impossible to have a link like that in the menu.

Thanks.  I would have been clueless tommorow when it wasn't working anymore.  How would I go about doing a logout button on the joomla user menu.  The Smf logout button is too small it seems.

I removed the session ID and it does not work smf says

"Session verification failed. Please try logging out and back in again, and then try again."

Surely there is a way to do this.

It is impossible.  The method used by Joomla to display menu items does not work to do what you want it to do.
