which is?  you said I need to edit the style.css but you didnt say why?  I initially posted to ask why you couldnt + or - a rep and you told me that you have to click the blue heart to + or - a rep which I now know.
But you didnt say why the edit for the style.css is required? 
I also have another problem I am trying to give somebody a rep and they seem to be stuck on 10 reps I have given them 2 reps but they are still stuck on 10?  any idea as to why

You can give positive or negative reputation in the popup box that comes from the heart icon. The popup box doesn't work correctly because your style.css doesn't have the code in it. When you give someone reputation, your power is how many points you give them. They need a certain amount of points to get another power.

But when i clicked on robbie's, first on the heart, then went to the box and clicked as well, it worked for him, it added another one to his count?   And he had the same amount then, as mine do now, that for me doesn't work?

I just edited the style.css for our theme and nothing has changed
and hotchildxox's rep is still on 10

hard refresh. ctrl-shift-r, or cmd-shift-r on a mac

and her POINTS should've gone up by however many POWER you have... it's a simple system. By default, 100 POINTS = 1 POWER

Your power is 10

You gave her 10 points

it takes 100 points to get another power

her power stays at 10

her points have been upped by 10

but her power is only 10.1, which rounds down to 10

So every time you give a rep it doesnt show on the bar until you give ten reps?  that sucks...

And the purpose for the edit to the style.css was?  the pop up bar looks the same now as it did before I edited the .css

but I didn't give robbie ten, before it showed up?

You gave everyone 1000 points instead of 10000 like I said to. 10000 will give you 100 points, which will make things move faster, like you want it to.

and take the ?> out of style.css, do a hard refresh, and then the popup box will work like it should.

Yes I have figured that now...  you should have stated how many reps you get whe set to 10000

I am in the process now of changing it back to 10000 that way one vote one rep ...  correct?

  K's, but how did that get robbie his points and not me mine?
We still had the same amount of credit, I clicked his only once and it showed
up, he clicked mine only once and it never?

Ummm I have one last teeny weeny question fustrate?    You how know its called reputation? 
Well I was just wondering....      Is there a way we can change the name to it?
Say like we could call it popularity?     How would we do that?

Code Select Expand

.english.php
and then open the files it finds, and replace all occurences of "reputation" with "popularity"
