I was getting spam robots on my board. Based on suggestions from this board I installed the CAPTCHA mod. I am using SMF 1.1 RC2 -- the latest release. I asked a friend to test the system for me. Here is the error mesage she received:

Not Acceptable
An appropriate representation of the requested resource /forum/index.php could not be found on this server.

Apache/1.3.36 Server at www.williamrubel.com [nofollow] Port 80

On the other hand, the registration did go through and she received the confirmatione-mail and i see her listed as a new member.

Any help will be appricated.

Thank you

Aitsukai

You'll probably get a much better answer by asking in the mod thread.

I had not noticed the Mod thread -- thank you.

But it turns out that I did manage to solve the problem. I uninstalled CAPTCHA and then installed it again, and the problem went away.

how to fix that problem:
An ERROR has occured with the CAPTCHA garbage collection!
Please notify the webmaster.
