On my forum why dont the the icons show up when i lock sticky a topic

Oldiesmann

Please don't bump topics unless they're at least 24 hours old...

Which version of SMF are you using? The sticky and lock icons you see here were added in 1.1 RC2.

Did you upload all of the files?  Are all of your paths correct?  What errors are in your SMF error log?  What errors are in your server error log?

Make sure $settings['seperate_sticky_lock'] is set to true in index.template.php for whatever theme you're using.

No, you didn't upload all of the files.  You are missing image files, like show_sticky.gif.  You need to either download RC3 from our site, extract the files, and upload all of them (except Settings.php) again, or you need to compare the files on your RC3 that you have on your local computer with the files on your website.

If you did upload the entire dir then they should be there.  Did you redownload the SMF package?

No i browsed my computer for the 2 folders

kegobeer

The /default/images folder contains 6 folders, /bbc, /buttons, /english, /icons, /post, and /topic.  You need to make sure all of those are uploaded.

Download RC3 from our site, extract all files to your local PC, and then upload all of the files except Settings.php.

You still missed something - http://ownageisthebest.com/Smf/Themes/default/images/post -> 404

Re-upload Themes/default/images/post and you should get the icons you're looking for.

reinstalling themes folder

Oldiesmann

You put your theme files in /Smf, not /forum. If you want to use the theme files in /forum, then you will need to change the path and URL to your themes, which can be done from the Admin center (Admin -> Themes and Layout -> Modify Themes, look for the "Base URL" and "Base path" section at the bottom of the page)
