Now then, spods. Is there a way to retain our posts, boards, members et al whilst overhauling every other aspect of our forum, software-wise?

Thanks.
Large upgrade pack. You can also delete custom database tables made by mods if you're confident you can hit the right ones.

Rehash D Internet

This is terribly embarrassing but what we'd done, see, is exceeded our disk quota.

Moral questions abound.

Slabber

Lord Royston Smythe was supposed to buy some more.

I'm confident of absolutely nothing.

Tyrsson

Well, that could cause a problem.

I do not know of a work around for that one :)
PM at your own risk, some I answer, if they are interesting, some I ignore.

I suspected as much. Better to leave the database alone then. Could get nasty.
Anyway a large upgrade will overwrite all your forum files if you need to do that.
If your only problem is disc space then I wouldn't bother.

Slabber

I've bought some more disk space.

Slabber

Uploading mods is no longer a problem.

When I try to install Aeva auto-embed, I get:

3.     Execute Modification     ./Sources/Post.php     Test failed

Antechinus

Well then it is conflicting with one of your other mods. You will need to look up the installation instructions and sort that file with manual edits.
Do not install the mod until you know how to do this.

Slabber

It says its compatible but the manual instructions says it hasn't been approved. The Youtube mod doesn't work either. Is there no auto-embed for 1.1.7?

Antechinus

There is the older AEVAC mod. That one is the ancestor of the new one and I run it with 1.1.7. Seems to be fine.

That's the one I can't install. Which version's manual instructions should I use? There aren't any for 1.1.7.

Slabber

I can't find any instructions at all.

The help thread has 64 pages.

Antechinus

Are you running any other mods?

ETA: You're right. No instructions. You can get them out of the install.xml files though.

Slabber

It seems like you can't download any versions before 5.1.32.

It was the first mod I tried to install and it wouldn't work. The only mods already there were the ones which were uninstallable, "who voted what" and "topic member post count".

Slabber

There might have been some others which didn't uninstall properly.

Rehash D Internet

Would it be rash to remove all packages and.. say, overwrite the modifications_english.php... and stuff.. with clean versions?
