new button barely shows but has link

Hello, I'm new to SMF and am just getting used to it and decided to add a button in subs.php.  I followed the tutorial and on the menu strip it made a small space for the button and if you point it just right you can find it, but it has no text! The link works fine, everything looks good except ya know, not seeing the button. 

Here is a screenshot of the issue. The area to click for the link is in the little black section.


Here is the bit I added to create the button:

Hehe, NOPE! I did add it though, cleared the cache and it's showing now.  Thanks for the help.
