Ok im upgrading from 1.1.5 To 2.3.1. I ran the upgrade script and it said

Code Select Expand

The upgrader was unable to find some crucial files.

Please make sure you uploaded all of the files included in the package, including the Themes, Sources, and other directories.

so i set all the permisions to 777 so its all writable and readable and it still says the same thing! I double checked and i did upload all the files so im not sure what to do.

Something is missing from the upgrade package to make it work. Its not uncommon for a file or two to be dropped whilst being sent to the server.
