Alternate Post Counting

I know nothing about Modding SMF but I'm starting to work on it right now.

However, I have a small (I think) request:
I run a Star Trek RPG and it is somewhat important to know how much one player posts per week, and per month.
The SMF, along with about every other forum only has 'total posts' and I was wondering if someone could create extra fields or a drop-down box for Admins/Mods that will have the option for all posts since Sunday of that week, and all posts since the 1st of the month for that user.

I might be able to do it myself who knows, but I'd appreciate someone more experienced to take a shot at it.
