Because most themes actually reuse the default theme code in most cases.

Plus the default theme will *always* be installed.
does that mean i have to install it manually to my current theme?

Anyone use this yet?
I'd like to see a working example.

I am currently using it, visit http://www.kcmartz.com/forum and go to the bottom of the pages...

EDIT:
How do you set it so certain membergroups see the ads, and certain ones dont?

We don't allow links to warez sites here, and generally won't support them either.

Come on bro we are also using smf and whenever we come across trouble why can't you just help us.....
please i beg you i am in need of help.....

Arantor

Because the site looks like it contains material we don't allow here. We do not ever allow links to warez, hacking or other illegal material here.

If someone else wants to help you, that's up to them. I personally will not.

You need to enable permission to see ads for each membergroup.

I'm having the same problem where I only I can see ads and other members can't. I'm using the default theme that came with SMF 2.0 RC2. Where do you enable permissions at? I've looked in the ad mod settings and the membergroups settings. I'm not seeing anything about ads at all in the membergroups area, and nothing about membergroups in the ad mod area.

More on Permissions: Permissions

Is there something about ad mod permissions in that link? I can't find it if so.

Arantor

No, that's how you do permissions generally.

Ad permissions should be added to the permissions area like all the others.

How do I go about doing that exactly? Consider me a noob.

If you'd rather avoid the hassle though, the mod worked fine without having to change any permissions in 1.1.10, maybe I should switch back for now?

Arantor

I thought this mod had permissions in the permissions area but a) I've never used it and b) I'm only going on the comments earlier in this thread.

Hi

Just completed a clean install of 1.1.11 due to a krisbarteo virus again!!

Have re-installed ad management mod, learning from experience I checked that all relevant files were CHMOD 777 and included a temp file in the package manager.

Mod installed and previous ads are displayed perfectly, problem is that the Amin area doesn't include access to the Ad management function, menu has been changed but hyperlink not there!!

Do I uninstall and try again or manually amend if so which files?
thanks
