I found this topic but not shore it's what I'm looking for as it sems to deal with members being banned
https://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=33216.msg247446#msg247446

Is there a function I can call "Have checked Function DB without luck" that can check if a visitor/Member is banned.

what is your goal with this information? usually knowing what your goal is will help guide the answers you receive.

I have a number of logging Tables that are used to show vistors to a page like

https://www.databasedreams.co.uk/charts/index.php?action=music;area=artists;sa=search

As you will see the right column shows the number of views that artist has had.

Also other sections have same like

https://www.databasedreams.co.uk/charts/index.php?action=music;area=charts;sa=artchart;art=-477275235;chr=821283108;loc=1

what I want to do is prevent a view being added should a visitor/Member is banned thereby reducing the number of entries being added to some tables.
