It doesn't work, gives me a template error while it tries to add itself........From further reading it appears there will be no facebook connect for 1.1.3  I was really looking forward to being able to have facebook friends login to the site without having to go through an entire different registration process. Thanks for the reply.

well  to be honest no it not an easy fix there quite a bit of work involved to update the api im just not interested in smf1 plus i never developed the smf1 version someone else did then abandond it hence why it hasent been upddated in a while

I find that ever since I installed this mod, I cannot embed a Facebook "like" button in my display.template.php file. What could be causing this not to show up?

Like I embed the code in the apprepriate location, but it just refuses to show up when I load a page Please help.

@ all the people who have had an email from facebook i have updated the api and it now uses oauth from http://developers.facebook.com/docs/authentication/

i will try to realse this in a few days after more testing

the Pages link does not work

Can you please tell, what is the privacy setting on FB? I believe this is related to the Pages being private somehow and you are not the only one with this issue. I am also having trouble having Pages to show.

Can you please further explain this, I really want that like button embedded; it used to bring a lot of traffic!

your on smf1 therefor the api in that version of the mod isnt compatable with the newer fb tags ie < fb:like>

if you want the like button that bad update to smf2 or sacrifise fb connect for the like button

I've been able to create a FB app and have been able to get the mod installed. However, when i click the link to link my accounts I get the following error "API Error Code: 191
API Error Description: The specified URL is not owned by the application
Error Message: redirect_uri is not owned by the application."

This looks like an easy one but I have no clue. Any thoughts on what I am missing?

I'm a little unsure of what URL to use in the FB app configuration for the "canvas page" "canvas url". It is blank right now. Maybe thats the reason? What should be in those fields?

I was able to get the app setup correctly, however, when i attempt to "share" a thread on FB, The link just shows the site "login" rather than the actual thread topic. This happens only half the time. Is there a board setting I'm missing or something?

I changed board permissions for all boards to allow guests. But I see I am still getting the login page when sharing to FB. Is there something else i am missing?

I'm not sure whats causing that then... it's working as intended for me and only shows like that on boards guests cannot access.
