Is it possible to import multiple new members and register them in the same way as a singular member is added via the admin (Register New Member) section i.e. email new password and Require user to activate the account?

Maybe using the current script (Admin: Register New Member) and providing an array of usernames and email addresses to register.

Forum version: SMF 2.0 Beta 4

Please advise...

Currently the only way of doing this is by writing a script using SMF functions to handle it.

Depending on how the data you want to import is arranged, we may be able to write a script for you.

Just have a list of usernames and email addresses that I want to register with options...
no Primary Membergroup
Email new password to user
Require user to activate the account

Many thanks for any help you can provide.

Is it possible for you to move the list into a csv file (you can probably do this in excel)? You'll also need a password column although you could probably set this using =rand() in excel.

If you do that you can probably use a script I wrote before for a member (csvimport) although it may need slight modification

Nice you have got some mods for it.

Could you share with us pwidget.

Because while i was transfering from smf 1.1.6 to smf 2.0. beta 4.

I have missed more than 165 registration in two days.

Is there any way i could use those same registered members on new smf 2.0. beta 4.
