Hello,
I have a bad problem which I don´t get rid off...

In my forum there have been signed up many Spambots recently
so I have many members with 0 post , but which are already registered for a few weeks...

Now suddenly these "sleeper" accounts begin to post spam postings...

1. Question
How can I delete ALL members with 0 postings in one go ?

If I go to admin panel /mebers/searchj for members and
give in the search for members with 0  postings,
it only shows the first 30 or so members and the next members are again mixed up which have already mixed
posting counts, but not zero...

I guess this is a bug ??

2. Somehow my  Membergroups of Newbie and selfset  New_User
seems to have mixed up somehow, with what I wanted to do a  Posting Moderation ffor new  Users...
I wanted to set it this way, that  new Users could NOT post without moderation...

So they should be moderated for the first 2 or 3  Postings ....

Question:
Into which Membergroup will new Users be set first after Registration ??
Into NEWBIE  ?

Unfortunetly I can not set any  Postcounts for this Usergroup  !

Something has mixed up there... !
How and where can I set it via the control panel or via  PHP Myadmin  ?

Also how do I get  ALL USERs of a selfset-made Usergroup
moved in one go into another  Usergroup  ?

Is it possible to delete Usergroups and how
or is it dangerous, cause you will also delete all the members in there ??

Many thanks.

Regards, Stefan..

QuoteHow can I delete ALL members with 0 postings in one go ?

How many are we talking about ?

One way would be to go Members -> View Members

Then click on the "Posts" column and the table will show all members with no posts. (might have to click twice). Check those members and delete accordingly.

The rest is difficult to understand without actually looking at at to be honest as you seem to to have issues going on which are all related.

We are talking aboput 20.000 users.,..

There is a bug in Search for members...

When it has  found the first users with 0 posts
and I have deleted them all....

Then the next displayed users have different post countings BUT NOT 0.

Into which membergroup are new members put automatically ?

Newbie ?

Why can´t I set this as a postcount group ?

Kindred

that *IS* a post count group.

All members belong, by default to
a) the "regular member" group  -- This includes ALL members who are not specifically added to other groups.
b) a post-count-based group (determined, as you'd imagine by their post-count)

1- install some anti-spammer mods to prevent them from registering.
2- set your newbie group to require post approval
3- probably change your next post count group, after newbie, to 3 or 5 posts

Thanks I got it to work with the postcount modeartion.

I had one group too much....

I had to delete it and then it was all okay...

I misfortunately renamed the Newbie group to another name and therfrom came the confusion...

Many thanks for your help.
