i am using smf 2.0beta4 and installed add link it says in verification fied - "Types the letter shown in picture"

but.. no picture shown!!!

so, if i blank that field it says error...

why verification picture isnt coming??

any help please??

I just installed this on SMF version 1.1.7 an i cannot see where i approve the added affiliates .... i see where i can add them manually  , i also do not see where i can have more than 4 ? please help thank you very much .

in admin/smf affiliates

look for

Number of Affiliates? then put the number of affilites you want

then click affiliates and add your affiliates

im guiessing you where putting you affiliates in Your banners that for your affiliates banners for other people to use

alos when some one request affiliation all there deatil get sent to the webmasters email addresse

I do not have a spot for that though - to put the number and I do not get them at the email that is for my webmaster , I checked all that and I have not received one .

ah i see your using v1 you should use v2  realy v2 is a lot easyer to add affiliates

as far as the email is concerned in smf admin have you put in your email addresse or a fake one

I have thought of the updating  ... but i have heard and read that alot
of the mods to not work well , so I will just settle with what i have.

ok, I'm back with another quick (?) question.
Here's the code you gave to get the block to scroll up instead of sideways:

Now, the question is - is there a way to change the speed of the scroll? I'm a speed reader and it goes too fast for me (by a little). I'm SURE that the other users have a problem reading it. Now, I know that the scroll stops on mouseover, but it's actually a bit distracting to see the words and links go whipping by.

i havent tryed this yet i just google html maquee tag but try the avouve code

just play around with

in that code abouve the higher the number the slower itll go i think

I can use it fine, well, not exactly. I can add pretty much everything, except affiliates. I can't view affiliate requests, nor add affiliates manually via the Admin CP... Help

I have no current affiliates. Before I allow affiliates to start entering, I wanted to make sure that the bugs were worked out.

However, I just attempted to add an affiliate and, while the screen said that the submission was a success, pending approval, I can not find the submission anywhere for me to actually approve it!

I then manually added one into the admin interface and checked off "Approve", but again, the affiliate banner/link does not actually appear anywhere on the affiliates page.   

(edit- ok...   I had the height and width set to "0", thinking that this means no max.  It appears that I was incorrect... seeting it to 50/100 allows the banner that I manually enterer to be displayed, but it is forced to 100x50.   Is there any way to have it just use whatever banner was included, up to a maximum?


Also, the "Configuration" and "Permissions" tab in the mod admin bring up the exact same screen (which is the config screen)

well the submissions get sent to the web masters email then you as admin add them threw admin panel


the check box approve needs to be ticked not unticked for the affiliates to show

nope...  no email was sent, and the submission never appeared in the admin tool.

What I mean is:   If I enter a value into the height and width fields, it foreces the banner to that height and width.

So, I se this to 200 wide by 100 hight
However, The banner I added is 80x30.
The system now forces the image to be 200x100, hus deforming the image.

Most implementations require a MAXIMUM size, but allow the image to be used, "as is", if the image is smaller than the maximum.
Also, most implementations only resize one value (whichever needs to be resized to pull it under the max) in order to keep the original ratio of height to width.


Now that I have added on affiliate, I am  still getting errors on affiliatesid2 and affiliatesid3.
From your statements, I assume that I will cotninue to receive errors until I have at least 3 affiliates? what happens when I get more than 3?
