Exactly I way too many projects that I work. Yeah there is a lot things that would be nice to do but they all take time.

Yes for certain and when he gets time and is able to fix/help he is not grumpy about it either. Some creators make you feel bad for asking questions but he does not.

I for one thank you for the mod, our major video links are for YouTube with the occasional JibJab not wanting to work anymore. It might be something they did on their end.

Are you still selling stuff and not supporting that? That's extremely bad business sense and poor professionalism. You shouldn't be selling anything if you're not willing to support it. People would basically be purchasing something with an assurance for support because they're paying for it and never get it after the fact.

No not really. I was just saying that to that guy.

But I really do not have a lot of time. I am not making any new features at this time not enough people for it.
Support is never guaranteed though that is not what I am selling you get a product with one year of possible updates that is it. When I am doing support that is because I want to not that I have to. Most companies sell support packages.

Hello Devs and community members,

I am looking into auto embedding Youtube videos using video thumbnails only on SMF. This can be done using .js. and they cut page load times by almost half.

Got some questions for the pros:

1. Was wondering if the developer or community member could humor me on how this auto Youtube embedding mod works programmatically?
Is this done via .js or phased using php only?

2. Does this Mod dig into the database and change every YT link?

Uses only php changes link to video embed code. does not go in the database to change it.

Having issues figuring out how to do this one myself...but with Youtube you can hide the info and controls like this:

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/f8_FsBQUW_k?controls=0&showinfo=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I would like to add this to the code to do by default for Youtube. Can you please help?

Also if there's a way to prevent the video being quoted that would rock too.

Local streaming of popular media formats (wmv,avi,flv,mov,mp4,ra,ram,rm) work only in http.

It appears that the YouTube Short URL option should be tweaked slightly like the main YouTube iframe code already is, as it explicitly embeds a http iframe (which obviously isn't going to load it for those running their forums on https instead).

The version display is 3.5.1 in package manager of SMF (version 3.5.2 in "Simple Audio Video Embedder" settings)
=> if you have installed version 3.5.1, it is not possible to download the 3.5.2 version because SMF think she's already present

I changed the package-info.xml file to get the package to upload from my computer. Just had to change the one digit from 3.51 to 3.52...

Installed without a hitch...

While looking for the correct file to change, I noticed several version numbers in the other files...
