do i upload the large package to same folder as my current forum is or what? to replace all files???

You unpack it to your computer, and upload all the files in the Large Upgrade to your forum. For more information please see: Upgrading SMF

You are strongly advised to uninstall all mods first. Note also your theme probably won't work unless you want to use the new Curve theme.
