Copy Topic (Similar to Split Topic) & Recent Post

Hello all,

I have two questions (I'm using SMF 1.1.11):

1. Is there any way I can add another feature for "Copy Topic".  It should be similar to "Split Topic", but it perform a copy fuction.

2.  How can I increase the Recent post more than 10 pages.  The current setting only allows me to have maximum 10 pages of recent post.

First and foremost, what would be the reasoning for copying a topic? IMO, if I was a guest viewing your site for the first time, and saw 5 duplicate threads with the exact same wording and titles, it definitely wouldn't encourage me to join and/or be active.
Also, would it have any options when copying it such as choosing the board it will be placed in, whether it should be locked/stickied, and/or whether or not it should have the same title?

Thanks for asking.  The reason I want to have "copy Topic" (similar to Split topic) is I want to copy some special post into other room without interrupting the discussion of the original topics.  It would be nice if I can do this, and it would be only allow for admin and moderators.

As far as I remember, the reason for 10 pages of recent posts is performance; it's actually surprisingly difficult to calculate that, so it's capped at 10 pages to avoid it consuming excessive amounts of CPU.
