One question: I have a board where i put all my attachments (text documents). Does this mod import the data from the database regarding these attachments (number of downloads, for example)?
No sorry, only converters from TP Downloads and SMF Downloads System are available; however, your idea could be done.
Well, i have more than 4 thousand attachments and it would be a great help if that could be implemented to facilitate the migration to your mod.
Don't know if that would be part of Lite or Pro version, but since i'm willing to pay for the Pro version, i guess that won't be a problem, but it would be good to have that in the free version so that people could migrate their files easily.

Got the same error message in my browser window, there is no error in the error log, and i seem not to can add downloads to the category only if i use this i get a screen to add just a link not a file ??

the sub-actions and actions are not defined into the index.php file while SMF thinks he needs the index.php file for that... that cause the error ;)
I'm using that mod without any errors in SMF 2.0 Final, if people are using RC3 or below, that'd be the issue
I'm using also 2.0 Final did the same trick as Jessica rename de general category to something else and that error pops up

Hello, with this lite system are members allowed to download? there are no quotas etc I set permissions for members to allow download but all they can see is the info there is no download link ( although there is for Admins!) now i don`t want to allow admin status to everyone on the site, so how are the permissions set please?
Im using both 2.0 RC5 and 2.0 gold and both do not show the download links

Thank you for this great mod, I have one small problem that I just noticed... I get duplicate files when I upload a file. There must be a double code entry some where, what file should i check or find this double entry in? I had installed this mod a long time ago but never actually tested it or uploaded any files until now.

Also, I read something about multi-download or something. Does this mean that on the download page I can have multiple links for the same file? If not, then is there a way for me to place more than one link on the same download page, like from more than one file host?

Got a problem but only with firefox 8 tested on ie and chrome as well but they work fine
downloading files only in ff8 the files download as index.php

I have it set to post a topic in certain boards when downloads are added.
However, if the download gets deleted, it also deletes the topic from the forum.
Is there any way to set this so it does not delete the forum topic and all replies?

I have it set to let guests view downloads, but I don't want them to be able to download. I want them to have to register in order to download. How can I make it where guests can't download?

So now that little project is done. One other thing I was liking to do was set default title to links when the thread is created. When a new download is submitted it creates a topic in a certain section of the forum I choose so there is support for that download. When it creates the link to the download in the topic it is the full URL. How would it be possible to set a default title so instead of it showing like this...

not sure if this is a problem or if there is maybe a 5meg limit with the lite version, I managed to download a pdf no probs that was about 3.5meg then tried another at 6.5 meg and it uploaded, but only got to 46% then this error, not a script error ???
this happens both in google chrome and ie
just find it strange that it worked for one file but not any others

quick question about file upload size for pro version

as some files/pdf's are quite large, ad the pdf mod just isnt enought to handle it, so need a mod so user can download then view

Fantastic mod ... but a little bit pricey for me.
All we need is upload, download, how many downloads & progress bar options and with the copyright removal.....$45 is a bit too much.
Like I said great mod m8 just wish it was half the price with just the options we need then I might have purchased it.
Check the other paid downloads mod, and the number of features in my mod, I won't reduce the price of it, you can just purchase the copyrighted version

I am not really bothered about the other features in your mod or any other mods I told you all I wanted out of a mod. I didn't ask you to reduce the price of it and I also wouldn't want any mods copyright showing on my forum. I was also complementing on how good of a mod this is.
I understand but i won't code an special version for you asking less, in fact is charge you more as the version I'm selling us already made, this one would need to be coded. I really think you'd make the effort

Hi I have this installed on my forum smf 2.0.2 with SimplePortal 2.3.5.
I as admin can see and download the files however any other member can only see the download but not see a download link.
I have set all permissions for members to be able to view download but still nothing?
Am I missing something?

Sorry to double post but I am still having the same problem with this.
I have chaecked and double checked the permissions and there is only a permission to allow members to view download. I have checked this and still members are not able to select download on view them.
I'm currently using the lite version. I see for multiple links on the same download page, all the links have the same name - "External File". Would it be possible to specify a different name for each link?
I seem to have encountered a bug. I can't remove or reorder any categories I make. I'm using the lite version (1.0 coz I don't see any newer version). Whenever I try to delete a category it throws me the error: "Your session timed out while posting. Please go back and try again." It does this everytime.

Currently you can upload files adding the url but you cannot upload files, that's a feature exclusive of the pro version: http://www.smfpacks.com/page/sa=dldir

This mod has an admin panel right?
I've notice that one of the files of the mod is called "DownloadsAdmin.template" so I must have something wrong because I don't have a link to the panel in the admin section.
Anyone knows how to fix this?
I'm waiting for the obligatory comment from the mod's author about how the free one isn't going to get much support and that the paid one should be used instead (as seen on other threads of the same mod author)

I will note, to everyone else, vbgamers download mod seems to handle most of that stuff in the free version... And Aeva can act as a file/download manager as well.

He can't perform well in a team, that's for sure and that's why he has failed to accomplish everything he tries (get SMF 2.1 released, finish his work at Wedge, SD was left with a lot of bugs...) that's quite impressive.

If users wanna have something that the PRO version already has I can't see why that's not a possible solution, and as I already said elsewhere I don't have time to support all my modd around here.

As long as there are support requests being made, and downloads increasing, there's interest.
Yes, SD 2.0 had a few bugs due to insufficient testing, but they have all been fixed since as far as I remember...
Thing is, if your best argument is bashing me, it doesn't say much for your position on the matter.
My position is quite simple: not enough time.
So mark the mods unsupported and concentrate on the ones that you are concentrating on. That way there's no false expectations.
Personally speaking, I'm proud to work with Arantor, reason he left all personal and unlike some of others, he's welcome back to the team anytime he wants and I can clearly see what you are trying... Its an personal attack and in law this is punishable with all kind of fines (money or etc...).
But Its a shame to hear from you, who still represents team in some ways... I don't do public comments such as this but I want you to know how shameful to see that type of comment from you against another friend.
