Link to Mod (http://mods.simplemachines.org/index.php?mod=205)
This mod will make it very easy to upload files when posting, directly from your site to free hosts like RapidShare,
YouSendIt... Totally 10 free hosts.
Script is tested many many times using SMF 1.0.5 - SMF 1.1 Beta 3 Public - SMF 1.1 RC1 - SMF 1.1 RC2 (will also work with 1.0.6 and 1.0.7) and,
all operations were successfull (installation, uninstallation and usage) Hopefully will work with older versions, as it wont ask package manager to find lots of codes. I worked just with little strings.
It works with built-in themes. (SMF Default and Classic YaBB SE Themes)
Note: This mod never conflicts with any other one..
Thanks goes to Ivan Minic (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?action=profile;u=17041) who suggested to make a mod like this.
Every SMF user can use Quick Upload :) Yes, its compatible with all the SMF versions. Mod is tested with the most used browsers.. (IE 6 - FF 1.5 - Opera 8.5)
How to apply to other themes?
Just add the line I gave above, to your Post.template.php file. If your custom theme doesnt contain one, then you it installed on that theme anyway ;)
(To put into the Additional Options like me, add the code after:
<div id="postMoreOptions">
)
Thanks to webdeveloper.com for helping me and w3schools for trying to help me :P

Oh wow! Nice mod :).
THIS IS BRILLIANT.
I don't have alot of disk-space, so it's nice to have this feature.
By the way Jay, there is a similar mod for ImageShack.
Look in the mod archive.
I run smf 1.05, and the ImageShack mod works perfectly.
excellent
Well, WOW, great, many thanks.
so glad if its really usefull for you :)

Nice. Lets see if I put it in my forum. It woul dbe nice having the same thing but for imageshack. also where are the link to download displayed in the post?
there is an imageshack mod for that thing. it works fine and my mod doesnt conflict with it.
i was thinking to add imageshack to my mod but thought it would be unrespectfull to that mod writer.
(actually he is using the codes which imageshack gives for use in forums; when you try to post something, you have to wait your forum to connect to imageshack first to be able to see the upload section. but if i had wrote, i would have used form actions.. though, its still nice to use his mod)
edit: as in imageshack, download link is not automatically displayed in the post. user have to c/p.
maybe it could be done to automatically get the download link into the post without opening a new page but i think this requires the original codes of free files hosts .. :-\

erm.. what's c/p?
you will upload the file through your forum and a new window will open thats telling you the download link of the file you have uploaded.
you will copy that link and paste into your post :)
NICE!! 10x !
Gr8 Mod Bro.... I do have Image Shack Mod installed... but Image Shack is only for Images.... but with RapidShare etc... one can even upload and host audio and video files. Bro.... is it possible to add Megaupload option also in the list... and if yes, then how do we do it..??

Yeah, I'll second that...
Is it easy to code in new upload sites?
Or does each use a different sort of code setting?
Can you make it in:
<option value="Rapidshare.de">Rapidshare.de</option>
<option value="Momeshare.de">Momeshare.de</option>
<option value="Yousendit.de">Yousendit.de</option>
<option value="zUpload.com">zUplad.com</option>

Wow! Have you tested that huija?
By adding in a new site.
Looks really easy...but somehow I doubt it.
Guess I'll wait for the mod author's opinion as well.
I've not tested...
I'll wait for a newer- or 'option'-version of this mod.
Maybe building a new page with database in? One of these sites can be a dead link or a newer link.

umm.. a nice option it would be to put the hosts in a dropdown menu, i will work on it. but not sure if i can really do as the codes above wont work if i put. because they will just open the main page of that sites.
and i know, i suppose you put them just for an example. as i said, i will try it...

this MOD sounds ideal for me - but the gz file is reporting as corrupt . . . could it be checked? Thanks

any chance you could e-mail me the file - the one I have is corrupt >:( ?
also, have you used the 'Package Manager' in the admin area of SMF - I think that is how you activate it . . .
Yeah, I used the Package Manager. it said it installed fine. But when I open up a message, I don't see the links. All I see is just the regular reply box.
Send me your email and I will send this to you.

i re-checked the package and experienced no problems with it. package is not corrupt.
and, it doesnt need to be enabled, it will immediately be seen in posts page.
sxwk12,
are you maybe using quick reply? if not, i dont really know what to say, i tested the package many times and didnt experience what you did.
try hard refreshing your browser (CTRL + F5 for IE and CTRL+R for firefox)
Thanks for checking - I re-downloaded with a different browser - same problem :(
ok - I re-downloaded from work with yet another browser and now it is fine :D
@ sxkw12 - I used the package manager and it reported everything ok (I had to tell it my FTP password) and it's working first time . . . maybe just try it again . . . ???
Thanks to Elmacik for the MOD
First off...GREAT MOD!!!!
Now for the question...lol.
Is it possible to make this a part of the "Additional Options" tab?
I have the ImageShack mod installed, and it shows up in the grey box (default theme) that all other post related information is in. This mod, however, does not. Even when I uninstalled Imageshack the new ones appear outside the box.
So, I would like to either include this MOD in the "Additional Options" tab, or just simply make the different uploaders appear in the grey box, where the rest of the post related information is.
Once again, GREAT MOD!!! I can live with it even if my request is not an option. I also like the drop down menu suggestion.
hmm... another good suggestion :)
but remind, i set the mod to take place in the post box in classic theme, but not the default one.
i just didnt try my chance hard, as the form of forum post and upload form were conflicting.
but, i will try your suggestion too...
I love the mod but have one litle problem it doesnt work in my them... only in the default... could anyone tell me how to get it running int Aquamania Dark Blue 01?
Thanks a mill
its really very easy. you will edit this file: /Themes/{your theme}/Post.template.php
find:
if ($context['show_spellchecking'])
echo '
<input type="button" value="', $txt['spell_check'], '" onclick="spellCheck(\'postmodify\', \'message\');" />';
and before that, put the mod codes. (you can get it from the xml file thats located in the package)
:( it didnt work.... pls thanks for trying tho.... anyone got any ideas as to how i can get it running?
send me your Post.template.php and i will try to do for you
I appreciate it, but what i did was upload the custom theme's post.php into the default directory, re-install the mod, up the automatically modified post.php back into my custom them and replace the default the post.php back, so now it works in the default and the custom!
Make sense?
:P
Here you go people, Quick Upload is updated to version 2.0 (Read the changelog in first topic)
Version 1.0 is still there, if you face up problems, use the lousy old one :P
Please tell if you experience any problems.
Great!
My idea (dropdown menu) in to newest version!
I ll try it immedialy!
Thanks thanks...

Mod works very well with your version, but you may face up a problem during uninstall.
this new version looks neat :)
ps: if there's problem uninstalling then what do we do if we need to uninstall? can it be done manually?
You will remove just a line from your template files.
See the title of "How to add to other themes" in first post.
But I dont think you will face the problem I did, because I do too many testing in one forum, so everything conflicts :P and I am in a windows server and a local one :P

I explained how to add new sites, open the file Upload.php and read the info.
About megaupload: I glanced at megaupload but its using some flashes in the site, I didnt struggle much about it. Maybe later...
I chose the most rated hosts to add to the list. Top 10 :P
And imageshack.us?
You can ofcourse add it too... but it wouldnt be good to put into file hosts.
If there are much willing about image hosts, I can do another mod, or better yet, I can add image hosters into the list in seperate group like:
Select Host:
File hosts:
blabla
bla bla
Image Hosts
bla bla
bla bla
Are they different? File hosts and image hosts? I didn't know.
It works very fine. :D
hi..
i use SMF 1.1 RC1, mm.. i've upload those files manually, but, when i click the 'Additional Options...', it doenst collapse. mm.. anybody help me please, what's going on? Thanks.. ;)
its a great idea for a mod but.....
ive being testing it out and it dosent go back to the topic that you post in,
were as without the mod it does, how can this be corrected?
instead of going back to the topic it just returns to the board.
in my profile i have this option ticked
"Return to topic after posting by default"
kummy, you will have to install the mod first.
After you uploaded it. go to your admin panel, you will see a link that goes to `Packages` section.
When you are there, you will see quick upload is listed. Click to `Apply` link near it. Then you will have it installed.
Red, I didnt notice that. I will try to look into it, thanks for reporting
edit: In my profile, "Return to topic after posting by default" is activated and its successfully working with me...
Because the server is loaded with a 2 days old database, I had to re-update the package.
Quick Upload is updated to version 2.1..
Version 2.0 has serious bugs, please use the new one if you like to go on using.
Unistall the older first!
See the mod page for changelog..
Hi all,
I have installed the mod on SMF 1.0.5 and it works only with the default theme, but my forum uses classic one.
Mod works for classic theme too. Check if you are using the latest version (Quick Upload 2.1)
And if it still doesnt work, I guess you are using a custom theme (maybe based on classic)
Then you will need to add this line to your Post.template.php file :
Find:
<div id="postMoreOptions">
Add after :
<iframe name="qupload" src="Upload.html" valign="middle" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" height="80" width="930"></iframe>
Note: As you can see in the screeenshots, I did it in classic too
Thanks,
i just put the
<iframe name="qupload" src="Upload.html" valign="middle" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" height="80" width="930"></iframe>
in other line in Post.template.php and now is OK. And i redused the width="930" to 700 - fits better to me.
Great mode!!!
sorry i need your help i installed versione 1.0 and worked fine i installed versione 2.1 and i have problem i cannot see nothing loo pic:

edi67,
I guess you are using SMF 1.1 RC1 and didnt read the explanation about it :)
RC1 has a bug about the packages, you have to manually unpack the files.
For Quick Upload 2.1, unzip the Upload.html file into your SMF home directory and it will work ;)

grr i done all you told me, i uploaded file as you told me but always the same....nothing appear, please help me
If you are trying with firefox, try clicking "Additional Options" for several times. And try with other browsers.
If still the same, take a look at file permissions and make sure its readable by everyone.. (at least chmod 755 )
I ran into the problem of the options not showing up as well, and if I just close the "Additional Options" and open it back up they are there. I use Firefox, but haven't looked at it with IE.
I dont know what the problem is.. As all my tests were successfull with 3 of most used browsers..
(Firefox 1.5, IE 6, Opera 8.5)
Can you please give a link to your forum and provide a test account?
opps mine fault sorry
work great i made mistaken coz i upload file Upload.html in sources directory and not in "$boarddir"

Find <iframe in your Post.template.php file and add this inside the tag:
style="background-color: ; "
You can put any color there. If you didnt like this solution, just decrease the width and the height of the iframe in the same place

i dont so but..not see it change
<iframe style="background-color: #e5e1e2; " name="qupload" src="Upload.html" valign="middle" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" height="80" width="660"></iframe></center>';
Then I think you will need to edit the Upload.html file in your main forum folder.
Into the first line of that file, add:
<body bgcolor=" ">
and add this to the last line:
</body>
Use the color code of your post area.
Btw, remove that </center> tag from your Post.template.php its not really needed.

I am having the same problem as edi67 now, except it just doesn't show up in firefox; only in IE it the box shows up. Otherwise, when people expand the additional options, theres just a large space.
I use firefox. Why doesn't it show up?
Thanks.
Make sure you using Quick Upload 2.1 and NOT Quick Upload 2.0
And this is what I also experienced with my old FF. Now everything works ok to me.
I think its a Firefox problem. Because when you expand "Additional Options" you see a large space, when you collapsa and re-expand, you see the upload panel is there... This is related to Firefox. So, you should update your browser to latest version.
When I install Quick Upload via Paketmanager, it´s not going.

My mod does NOT have any index definitions, so these are not related to Quick Upload's any version.
But nevertheless, if you anyway wont use this mod again, and if you dont have mods that edited Post.tempalate.php file, then upload a fresh Post.template.php to your theme folder.
Not really a problem with Mod which is working fine on RC1.
Now know how to change links to other sites.
But can anyone tell me if there is a way i can link to a folder on my server where members can upload An mp3 or mpeg direct thru this (to use with Streaming mod)
I.E. if my folder is at http://mysite.com/upload.
Obviously if i just input that as address it just goes to that folder,How can i change this so members can upload directly to this folder.
Cheers
Dave
Hmm.. I think you will first need to get an upload script for your site. Then open Upload.html and edit it to add your site into the list.
I wrote some little explanation about adding new sites in that file.
But actually maybe your willing could be done by using the SMF's original attachments codes.. But it would take a bit time. I will try to work on it.
Thanx Elmacik,Any help here would be brilliant.I have edited upload html ok,but at moment iy just opens the folder.
Cheers
Dave
Because you dont have an upload script there in that folder :-\
Or you didnt read all the explanation in Upload.html (one at top, one at bottom)
Just some feedback. ;)
I've tried all the file hosts and none of them allow hotlinking, which means they are not suitable for previewing images in posts, which is necessary in my use. Having a separate list for image hosts and file hosts is certainly more helpful for members who may not understand diff between file and image host.
For my case, a separate list seems a little cumbersome though :P So I'm currently only using hosts who provide image and file hosting. I'm still plowing through the net to build a list :)
Btw Elmacik, this' a very useful mod!
Then give me a list of some image hosts and see if I can do it. (Its really very easy for you to do also, just read the explanation in Upload.html)
If you give me a little list, I will try with it but due to my school, the update may delay :)
no worries.. i know how to change the list ;) the problem is i've only found one file and image host :P
anyway, just to share my findings with all, i found this ultimate list: http://www.ghacks.net/2005/11/22/free-file-host-list-november-2005
and this is the one that allows hotlinking (of images): http://www.flypicture.com
btw Elmacik, when u find time, hope you could try add this site to the list: http://www.freeuploader.com I can't seem to get it to work. keeps bring me back to it's index...
Is there anyway to allow user to choose multiple files and they will be uploaded 1-by-1 ?
I will try to work on it, but I am not sure if I can do.
sometimes it shows up, sometimes not. trippy. tried CHMOD 777 and couple of other things. still don't see what causes it to disappear sometimes.
Sometimes Firefox doesnt display but its not caused by the mod. I tried with:
IE 6
FF 1.5
Opera 8
Nice MOD ...
What about 1.1 RC2 ?
Can you modify for use on it ?
Thanks !
And HAPPY NEW YEAR !
Umm.. My internet connection is cut so I cannot promise.
But it should work with RC2 with no problem since its only a line of code to add in.
I will try sooner.
Ok ... I'll still waiting

same here.. :)
I just installed it on RC2 and it looks ok except Firefox 1.5 shows a blank box the first time it open additional options, second time shows.
Furvert,
Thanks for trying on RC 2
As I stated above, it will work with all the SMF versions. Because mod inserts only one line.
And again as I stated above, Firefox pisses sometimes shows on second click (as you experienced)
You know I tried version 2.0 of the mod and it doesn't seem to have the issue with Firefox where you have to click on Additional Options twice. Maybe you can post on what changes were done exactly from 2.0 to 2.1 and we can use that to figure out what causes FF to not read the iframe the first time. I know this is a minor thing but if a person is clueless about this mod being installed on the server he/she wouldn't consider clicking "additional options" twice to see the thing. Thanks.
d3v,
The only reason that I updated the version 2.0 to 2.1 was a javascript error.
Yes, Firefox was showing with the first click. But Internet Explorer wasnt even opening the "Additional Options" box. When you click to "Additional Options" nothing happens and an error icon appears in the status bar.
Why it was happening? Because I had to use form element in my codes. But SMF's post is also done with form element. So, there cant be 2 form elements inside each other.
This is why I had to seperate the upload mod into a different page. (Thats Upload.html)
So, the upload action is done via another page, not the SMF's post template.
Shouldnt have I done this long explanation? :P There is a changelog in the mod page.
http://mods.simplemachines.org/index.php?mod=205
nah thanks for doing it. it makes sense. i tested both versions in IE and I see what u mean as well. I went ahead and installed slighlty edited version of 1.0 on my forum. I like the whole xhtml compliant/no iframe approach. Thanks for taking your time to provide support. you can see the mod being used here: www.mangahelpers.com
Actually when I firstly did the 1.0 version, I wasnt planning to put into "Additional Options" box. I was planning to do the version 2.0 placed just like the 1.0 one. (Under the send and preview buttons of the posting area)
But some requested me to put in that box. Soon I thought it will be more beautiful.... Thats the story :P
Installed version 2.1 on a fresh SMF1.1RC2 using FF 1.5 but do not see the iframe. Shouldn't it be better to reference the html file using "/Upload.html" instead? Going to try it after 5 hours sleep ... :)
QuoteAn Error Has Occurred!
You cannot download or install new packages because the Packages directory or one of the files in it are not writable!
I keep getting this error when I try to install the mod. I use SMF 1.1 RC2 and I have CHMOD the package dir and all files in it to 777 manually. What gives??
I dont know the reason but I can suggest you to manually install the mod.
There is only one little line to add :)
i've installed v2.1 via the packet manager. With ie there is no problem, but i prefer using Firefox 1.5 and after the two clicks i encounter with an error message itstead of upload bar. It says "The requested URL /Upload.html was not found on this server." How can this be? I double checked upload.html and it is in there and not 0 kb. Besides ie finds it >:(
This is a problem with FF, I dont think I can help it... :-\
i solved the problem but that was interesting: i copied "upload.html" to base directory from the forum directory.
Hmm really seems interesting. But nice to hear you found a trick :)
Will there be a fix for of this mod for Mozilla? Or another way of showing the upload form...
Try Quick Upload 1.0 it works well with all the browsers. You can see the change log in the mod's main page.
But this is something Mozilla cant handle. Its just a simple iframe.
I plan to develop this mod more but I dont know when :-\
The files quick_upload1.0.tar.gz and quick_upload2.0.tar.gz seem corrupt. I downloaded them with IE and Mozilla.
I don't have a problem with other .tar.gz files, I unpack them normally. Strange...
Can you upload quick_upload1.0 & quick_upload2.0 to the mod site (or somewhere else) in .zip?
Its seems very ok to me downloads with no problem. Plus, I can extract in my computer. (I used Firefox)
But anyway you dont need to extract it.. Why dont you use auto installer?
:'( :'(
I tried to install the mod on my forum, and i see it on the message options windows, i can select and upload files, but then, when i click on the POST button it does nothing!
What am I doing wrong??
Would you be kind to give me a test user account in your forum to let me see what is going on there?
I need help, i installed quick_upload2.1 mod,
After installing the mod i was not able to find the original attach a file option only the new option comes up but i want to allow users to upload files using the inbuilt attachment utility. Please help me out Elmacik
Try it at: http://kreative.igb.net/forums
try username: demo
password: demo
I replied your PM but lets allow the public know about it; the mod is installed twice in your forum.
And I think you've installed it manually. It seems you deleted something from files.. ?
Because this mod inserts only a line to the Post template and doesnt touch the original attachment options..

With the account you gave me, I tested the mod with the following browsers;
Internet Explorer 6 SP2, Firefox 1.5.0.1, Opera 9 P2
And had absolutely no problem. If you considered that the mod will automatically insert the download link of the file you uploaded to the post, no it wont.
What the mod will let you is only uploading the file to a free file server. Then in the new opening window after you click to "upload"
before clicking the "post" button, you will copy the download link and paste to your message area.
Now you can post it..

You can of course add it too... but it wouldn't be good to put into file hosts.
If there are much willing about image hosts, I can do another mod, or better yet, I can add image hosters into the list in seperate group like:
Select Host:
File hosts:
blabla
bla bla
Image Hosts
bla bla
bla bla
I believe that a Quick Load Images Mod or a variation of your Quick Load Mod would be very useful to the members of my forums and any other image oriented SMF forums. I uploaded Quick Load Mod thinking that it was for uploading image files. I tried to point it at my favorite free image hosting site (photobucket.com) without success. I don't know if that is because the mod won't work for an image hosting site, or if it is because I don't know how to find the correct values to enter in the different fields that you specified in your instructions.
These are the fields (in bold) that I am having trouble filling for the photobucket.com account:
case '11': //
// host_site.action="http://NEWHOST.COM/"; //
//
file.name="FILE_ATTRIBUTE_NAME_OF_THE_HOST"; //
//
hidden.name="IF_THERE_IS_A_HIDDEN_INPUT" //
// break;
An image hosting mod is needed because I don't believe that the Imageshack Mod mentioned in this thread has been updated to work with the newer versions of SMF. Any ones comments on this are welcome.

Quik Upload will work every kind of upload sites. (images, videos, flash, .. any kind of files)
You just need to add them to the list. I looked around photobucket.com to tell you how you should edit Quick Upload to work with it; but I saw that its a site thats requiring to be a member to upload files. So Quick Upload wont be able to upload files into it.
In my future plan for this mod, there are;
1- Separating free file hosts into groups like; a- File Hosts b- Image Hosts c- Video Hosts
2- Adding an administration panel interface to allow/disallow image-video-other files
3- Adding an administration panel interface to add other hosts to the list of Quick Upload.
4- Setting some hosts to use passwords to upload files (like photobucket.com)
All this additions will cause Quick Upload mod to be removen to the outside of "Additional Options" of post template, but it would still be an option for people to use the older version of it :)
Now, if you have another image host to use (without membership requirement) tell it to me and I will tell what you should type to that fields you marked bold :)
After installing the MOD to my SMF1.1RC2 / MKP1.1 i do get an error whenever i upload things to MKP download section. I get an "MIME not supported: dropload/binary" error (MKP has allowed and blocked MIME) no matter what i try to upload. (The Forum upload is working fine).
If i uninstall this MOD again, it still does not work again :(
It must have messed up some code previously installed by MKPortal i guess :(
I would love to use this MOD, but I also need my "Download Section" working in MKP :'(
I love this mod. :) Is there a way to limit it to certain boards?

Actually there is no way for this now. Maybe in next version.
@URPG, I really have no clue how it messed up MK Portal' download section because this mod is very simple and working separately in an iframe.
Wow can u make this work for 1.1 rc3 and maybe ad up-file.com to it
A better question is this...
I have been looking for a mod like this for some time, that uses an image uploader that I have installed on my website. Can this mod be programmed to use my image uploader?
Link to uploader: http://upload.theimportkiller.com
5 of those 10, dont work. here is an updated of upload.html version with 5 working ones ( replace it with the one in the mod dir and u good):

now for elmacik, i recently compiled a list for a p2p searching prog, but it probably wont have any use there. here it is for future developments of the mod(This list of 1 click hosts is alphabetically organized, no dupe, no 404 (dead links), checked for redirects. The List is compiled from google, wikipedia, irc surveys, warez forums, popular download tools, 1click top lists, forum upload hacks, and word of mouth.):

I hate to see dead mirrors so I hope these are enough. take care.
I will develop this mod very better for new versions, as soon as I find a little free time.
Thiw is great end very useful mod. Here are some suggestions:
Add option do distinguish which uload sites are good for photograps and which are for files. diffference is that photo upload sites offer direct link to photo, so it may be used within message post (using [img]).
Add www.imageshack.us. It works well with uploading photos.
host_site.action="http://www.imageshack.us/";
file.name="fileupload";
Change the way you store settings about upload sites in a manner that user can define all site parameters in one place. For examle store all site parameters in an array, and then use info from that array to create actual contents of <select> and in switchFrom case. That would be easier to maintain since all stting would be on one place. Now, to maintain site list, one must edit in two places.
Also, add an optin to allow user to enter aditional parameters to sites. For instance, Imageshack allows user to set autoresize option when uploading file. That could be tricky to make to work, but at least provide optin to open fileshare site but not to submit automaticaly. That would open upload form on the site thus allowing user to set additional parameters first, and then submit.
Add an option for user to set default upload site. Fro some reason Upload button is disabled by default, so setting default select item does not work.
Pedja
Well here it is in attachment modified Upload.html with new options:
- site definition is simpler. To add new site you just add line like this:
ulSites[c++] = new uls ('selected', 'ImageShack.us (foto)', 'http://www.imageshack.us','fileupload','');
- you can set which site is set as default
- you can easily change order of items in site list by simply changing order of their definitions
here is another one that i have worked off of pedjas
- removed yousendit.com, upload2.net,ultrashare.net,ihud.com. they did not work.
- fixed mooload so it does work now
- added max file size to each host
- misc. other changes

i saw but im not able to make it work :(
help me please if you can
hi, i installed your mod to check the features. i have uninstalled it.
but the form still shows up under additional options.
my current theme does not have the Post.template.php file.
My guess is to remove the iframe that calls upload.html
so im wondering, where on earth is the <iframe with Upload.html at?
ive searched high and low for it, but i cant seem to find any. :P
my current theme has these core files:
QuoteBoardIndex.template.php
Display.template.php
index.php
index.template.php
MessageIndex.template.php
Profile.template.php
Register.template.php
Appreciate it if you can help.
Its in Post.template.php
Sorry if it caused inconvenience. When I wrote this mod SMF was 1.1 RC1 yet :)
Hi Elmacik,
as you can see from my quote above, i don't have a file named Post.template.php, it is not in my custom theme folder.
perhaps, you can tell me where to find this file. i've checked root, ive checked other folders but there is no such file.
thanks!:D
Where a custom theme lacks a file it automatically uses the file from the SMF Default theme.
thanks satan!
My pleasure!
I've installed this, but instead of getting a list of hosts, i just get 1 - 10, is it possible to customize this with sites you know members use?
nice mod, but could you update it for 1.1.4?

Me three but i haven't read the upload file yet so guess instructions exist in there for this problem ;)
My question is can the color scheme be changed at all? My custom theme uses a black background with red over it. This box sticks out a bit too much for me :p I didn't have to edit any of the custom theme files though because your mod just uses the default ones my theme does.
Great mod though.
I like the idea behind this MOD, but only a couple of upload sites work. It would be nice if this MOD worked with mediafire. I would also be nice if it automaticly inserted a link to the file in the post.
given up and removed it, shame, cause it's a good idea.
Hi the users of Quick Upload mod. I am so sorry that I could not respond to your willings and reply to your questions. I am in a mood to re-new this mod with a fresh list of file servers and with new codes. I am very eager to hear you suggestions and critics about the mod, because I will update it.
Thanks in advance. :)

Any news about this?
This is a dead project? Then it should be removed from the SMF list.
I'll tell you what...Elmacik great mod! These people need to appreciate the fact that they are downloading something free that you not only took the time not make but to update as they used it. Awesome work.
I just uploaded this yesterday and I found its incredibly easy to edit the html file to change the sites and change predefined names as well. Great for newbies that do not have an account with most places to be able to share.
I would love an option to upload multiple files at once and also be able to add my login information. I only upload to rapidshare and I use the rapiduploader for that....something along the line of the way that works would be cool to see...if not the program is still great!
Keep up the great work and I look forward to more downloads from you!
P.S. To those of you that don't have anything nice to say....remember what your mommys told you....don't say anything at all.. :-X :-X :-X

This is not working as described. Only TWO of the TEN free storage options are available. It would be better to give Admins a setup page where they can add known and trusted upload sites.
Otherwise it was a good idea.

I agree, it would be great if the setup page for the mod was added to say the features and options area. This way as new sites become available, it would be real easy for newbies like myself to be able to install the mod, and edit it as I go. I love the idea of this mod, and can't wait to have my friend install it.
I am new to this type of environment, and the template.php had so many selects in it, I had no idea which one to install the code in. To be frankly honest, I'm not even sure if I can use notepad to edit the .php.
What I love about this forum is that there is more support here than any other purchased product on the market, and it works better than any over the counter purchased product.
To the mod creators, guys I appreciate every little bit of work and effort you guys make to create mods that enable people like me to enhance the experience for my users. Please, by all means, keep up the great work, and never let any of the unappreciative individuals take away what so many more of us do appreciate.

Yes you can use Notepad but I use Notepad2 download it here (http://www.flos-freeware.ch/notepad2.html). It handles and colour codes all PHP and script files, plus you can add line numbers to the view, very useful for diagnostics.
Chas.
Can this work with SMF2 by any chance? 8)
Yeah, really useful idea.
