after i installed it i tested the mod

but when i opened advanced options

i found a new white bar and nothing in it

i think it is the upload bar

any one can help?

Elmacik

Make sure you have Upload.html in your forum folder and its size NOT 0 kb.
If so, re-upload the file (Upload.html) to your forum

I am having the same problem as edi67 now, except it just doesn't show up in firefox; only in IE it the box shows up. Otherwise, when people expand the additional options, theres just a large space.

I use firefox. Why doesn't it show up?

Thanks.

Elmacik

Make sure you using Quick Upload 2.1 and NOT Quick Upload 2.0
And this is what I also experienced with my old FF. Now everything works ok to me.
I think its a Firefox problem. Because when you expand "Additional Options" you see a large space, when you collapsa and re-expand, you see the upload panel is there... This is related to Firefox. So, you should update your browser to latest version.

My mod does NOT have any index definitions, so these are not related to Quick Upload's any version.
But nevertheless, if you anyway wont use this mod again, and if you dont have mods that edited Post.tempalate.php file, then upload a fresh Post.template.php to your theme folder.

Not really a problem with Mod which is working fine on RC1.
Now know how to change links to other sites.
But can anyone tell me if there is a way i can link to a folder on my server where members can upload  An mp3 or mpeg direct thru this (to use with Streaming mod)

I.E. if my folder is at http://mysite.com/upload.

Obviously if i just input that as address it just goes to that folder,How can i change this so members can upload directly to this folder.

Cheers

A Slinky is like Jeremy CorbynWinehouse,Weird looking,Not really of any use to anybody.
But its really funny when it falls down the stairs!!:D:D

Elmacik

Hmm.. I think you will first need to get an upload script for your site. Then open Upload.html and edit it to add your site into the list.
I wrote some little explanation about adding new sites in that file.

But actually maybe your willing could be done by using the SMF's original attachments codes.. But it would take a bit time. I will try to work on it.

Because you dont have an upload script there in that folder :-\
Or you didnt read all the explanation in Upload.html (one at top, one at bottom)

Just some feedback.  ;)

I've tried all the file hosts and none of them allow hotlinking, which means they are not suitable for previewing images in posts, which is necessary in my use. Having a separate list for image hosts and file hosts is certainly more helpful for members who may not understand diff between file and image host.

For my case, a separate list seems a little cumbersome though :P So I'm currently only using hosts who provide image and file hosting. I'm still plowing through the net to build a list :)

Btw Elmacik, this' a very useful mod!

Elmacik

Then give me a list of some image hosts and see if I can do it. (Its really very easy for you to do also, just read the explanation in Upload.html)
If you give me a little list, I will try with it but due to my school, the update may delay :)

no worries.. i know how to change the list  ;) the problem is i've only found one file and image host  :P

anyway, just to share my findings with all, i found this ultimate list: http://www.ghacks.net/2005/11/22/free-file-host-list-november-2005

and this is the one that allows hotlinking (of images): http://www.flypicture.com

btw Elmacik, when u find time, hope you could try add this site to the list: http://www.freeuploader.com I can't seem to get it to work. keeps bring me back to it's index...

Is there anyway to allow user to choose multiple files and they will be uploaded 1-by-1 ?
