You can certainly trust Babjusi if you're in need of installation help. ;) I know... I showed him how to do it and also have seen his work in the past. If you can't follow the methods (which is NOT a bad thing) and have troubles beyond your means you will eventually need to ask for help and that help may require sharing a username and password. The trick is to ONLY allow access to those sections they NEED access to, not to post the information in public, and to ensure that you delete the users and passwords immediately after the work has been completed.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. And I wanted to thank you again for everything that you  taught me. You are a great teacher bro.

Not a problem. I wouldn't say so if it weren't true.

*chuckles*

I wouldn't have Babjusi out there writing code and setting database queries on their own just yet but, give him time - he'll be skilled enough to do that too at this rate. Soon he'll be asking questions I don't have the answer for.

Those things are still out of my leage, but with your help I think I will soon manage to learn them as well KGIII.

Stop into the chat sometime. I'm not there now but, well, you know where to find me.

Sure dinodom000. Pm me the info and I can have a look, although I can not promise anything

babjusi

Your problem is, as I explained to you with the pm, that you have reached the number of databases allowed. When I tried to set up a database for you, I got the following message:

Error

You have reached your maximum number of MSSQL Databases

Please click here to purchase more.

Now I advice you to change the passwords you gave me

babjusi

P.s. I deleted the install.php file as well from the forum directory as it is a security risk to leave it there

Myssql, my bad. I misspelled it

babjusi

Sorry, I tried with all the info you send me and I couldn''t get it going. Ask your host to provide you with the correct info. I deleted the install.php file as it is a major security risk to leave it there

And you managed to misspell it again. :P

dinodom000, have you tried deleting a database you don't need and recreating it for SMF to use?

As I said, contact the host and ask them about the mysql info and check them if they are the same with the ones you gave me

Douglas

First, you need to identify WHICH MySQL server you're on and use the proper name instead of localhost.  ALWAYS remember to add a colon3306 ( :3306) after it.

mysql1.easycgi.com
mysql2.easycgi.com
mysql3.easycgi.com
mysql4.easycgi.com
mysql5.easycgi.com
mysql6.easycgi.com
mysql7.easycgi.com
mysql8.easycgi.com
mysql9.easycgi.com
mysql10.easycgi.com
mysql11.easycgi.com
mysql12.easycgi.com
mysql13.easycgi.com
mysql14.easycgi.com
mysql15.easycgi.com
mysql16.easycgi.com
mysql17.easycgi.com

If you don't have enough databases, you can use an existing one, just use the table prefix (I'd suggest smf_ or z_).
