Login issues

Oh my, I have not been here for a long time, since we did not really have a use for our forum recently and everything changed   So sorry to hear that.

Now to my problem.  I had everything working about 6 month ago and now have issues with login.  When I login in Joomla and go to Forum I have to login again.  If I attempt to login in forum first it redirects me to Joomla where I login and then when I go to forum I need to login again.  I used to only need to login in Joomla and when I went to forum I was in. The synchronization is broken somewhere.

The only change that I know of (quite big though) is that I upgraded from version 11 to 13 on Joomla.  And yes, my smf is little outdated too.

Latest Joomla-SMF version: 2.0

I realize the first recommendation is going to be to upgrade smf and bridge to the latest versions (though I am not sure if the latest bridge is even available, since I understand it was removed while the negotiations were going on).  I wonder if you really believe that would help?
