Since upgrading from 1.1.5 to 2.0 Beta 3.1 I've stopped recieving notifications. I've check to see if I'm still "signed up" for notifications from the relevent board and I am. So since they're not in my junk mail box and my e-mail address is correct I'm mystified. Other members don't appear to be getting notifications either.

Any ideas? Thank in advance.

You check Maintenance > Mail > Mail Settings to see if your information is there?

General_Naga

Checked that, I've tried both SMTP and PHP mode. :(

Anyone aware of a bug in 2.0 round this issue?

                              I recommend:
Namecheap (domains)
Fastmail (e-mail)
Linode (VPS)

Nope no log errors and I sent myself a newsletter from the admin panel, so its not the mail settings.

I'm getting PM notifications just not topic notifications. Is this is SMF 2.0 bug or is it just me?

Thanks in advance to anyone to can help me.

H

To be honest I'm at a loss as to what to suggest as to my knowledge there is nobody else with similar problems.

Would it be possible for you to setup another SMF install on the same server to try and reproduce the bug? :)

PM, newsletter and registration mails sends fine !

What mods do you have installed? I'm just wondering if we have something in common causing this.

@H - I'll see if I can get another install of SMF 2.0 onto our server sometime this week.

Tanks

 Mod Name Version
1. DeInCreasePostBox 1.3   [ Uninstall ] [ List Files ] [ Delete ]
2. cbi, 1.0 1.5   [ Uninstall ] [ List Files ] [ Delete ]
3. Member Color Link 2.1.6   [ Uninstall ] [ List Files ] [ Delete ]
4. Bookmarks 2.0   [ Uninstall ] [ List Files ] [ Delete ]
5. Auto Email Inactive Users 1.7   [ Uninstall ] [ List Files ] [ Delete ]
6. Users Online Today 1.5.2   [ Uninstall ] [ List Files ] [ Delete ]

Only one we've got in common is cbi. Which I can't really see causing it. I'll uninstall it and let you know what happens.

General_Naga

Tried uninstalling cbi, no effect what so ever. So from this I assume that it isnt a mod related issue. I'm still working on getting another install of SMF onto the server.

I might have found something that causes this

In my mail settings i have queue turned on but i had max ammount per minute and max amount per page load both set to zero.

Maybe this is the answer ?

H

Setting to zero should just mean there is no limit. If this isn't the case it maybe a bug

Actually, This was posted on another forum to SMFSupport so it maybe a bug. :(

Tanks

Sorry for my rush

This did not solve the problem !

General_Naga

I'm starting to think it probably is a bug, but that's the case, why have only a few people got a problem?

oedel

i have this problem, too. i am running amf 2.0 b3.1 on win2003-server.

H

Did anyone manage to install another test install to confirm that they could replicate the problem?

Sorry for the long delay but I finally got another install on the server and it works fine. What would you recommend I do now?
