ok... i added a line of code to the indextemplate.php files of my themes a while back to add a header above all tables.. it's worked beautifully, until today.  all of a sudden my headers have disapeared.  if i go to the actual locations of the images they work fine

I have the banners set up with a rotate.php file and thought that might be the problem, but when i change the index template file to point to a single image i get the same thing, nothing.

I don't have the slightest idea what has happened here, the code is still there, the images are still there, nothing has changed except for their showing up.  any ideas would be a huge help.  thanks

A link to your site would help.

I am not seeing any banners on your site or in the source code. Also your copyright isn't visible add this to your index.css file to fix that you can use any color as long as it is visible just used white as an example.

#footer_section
{
color:#fff;
}

i can see the copyright just fine as well can those on my forum... and there is code for a header on the index.template.php file...

// Output any remaining HTML headers. (from mods, maybe?)
echo $context['html_headers'];

echo '
</head>
<body>
<center><img src="http://thisisawf.co.cc/Themes/TNA/TNAheaders/Kurt.png></center>';
}

function template_body_above()

tommybishop

to boot here is one of the headers, from a php file set up to rotate it.. as you can see it's perfectly viewable, only on the forum is it not showing up, and as i already said in this thread it showed up fine until i woke up this morning.

I am sure others will agree that your copyright isn't clearly visible as required. And as I said that code is not showing up in the source.

is there anyone that might be able to help with the stated problem...

as always thank you in advance for any help.

tommybishop

ok ... smp was no help, he changed the subject to avoid answering the question or even trying to...

so is there anyone that might be able to help?  If there's anything you need me to supply let me know, i really just have no clue where to begin with this because it just... disappeared.. there was nothing done to anything, what was working one day didn't work the next

Arantor

The copyright isn't visible properly meaning you're not strictly entitled to support until you fix it.

smp420

I was not trying to change the subject I just prefer not to help until the copyright is fixed I even told you exactly how to do that.

can anyone tell me how in the flying blue hell that isn't visible?  huh? I have since asked 45 of the registered members of my board, each and every one can read it perfectly, even type it out and send it back to me in a pm... so how is it not visible?  this is all i wish to know... other than my original question that is

Arantor

Virtually black on black.

Anyone who is colour blind, using a poorly configured monitor or any one of the ~15% of Americans that have vision problems could not read that.

It should be *legible*.

almost a year using smf and until now i haven't thought about finding another forum once... i will look at changing it... but this is bs.

Arantor

What, it's BS that you're refusing to comply with the licence that requires you to retain the copyright without making it virtually invisible?

Even that aside, you know Google can blacklist you for that for what it would consider link cloaking...

smp420

Actually if you are not level with your screen it looks as if nothing is there. Anyways after you fix your copyright attach index.template.php from your theme.

In that case we don't have to search a solution for your problem any further. :)
Please, don't PM me for support unless invited.
If you don't understand this, you will be blacklisted.

Here enter this colour  code  to brighten your  copyright skyblue5(Safe Hex3) #0099CC (green is not the colour)

This will be a good match  to your site  plus you wont get your forum closed for breaching  smf TOS as they can if they wanted too.

I doubt they will try a take down. I can be wrong though. But not complying with the copyright agreement will not get him/her any support here as far as I know. I can see a couple things that may be the problem, I pretty sure they are, but not my place to give a example of how to fix this problem. It is unfair that this question should get answered because I have my copyright intact on my sites that use SMF for a forum and he/she does not.

Arantor

I can confirm that take down notices have been sent to hosts in the past.
