Google Page rank

Anybody else have an issue with getting ranked in google.  Prior I was using pure HTML for my website and was the #1 listed, ever since I switched to simple machines I'm not even listed.  Its been at least a month now since I switched.

Anybody know why it may have dropped?  It was kind of nice being number 1.

As you change your site, your PageRank varies. It is nothing specifically with SMF. It is just the way google marks your site as.

The thing is that I am not doing anything differently.  I'm updating it the same amount as I did prior to switching to SMF.  It seems as soon as I switched to SMF, my rank dropped.

You had a major modification on your site with the use of SMF or any CMS. That is considered as a change in your site and it takes a while to get the whole site on the top with new stuff added to the site. Hence the page rank dropped. It might also be a case that google changed its mind and wanted to put you down. Page Ranks don't matter at all actually speaking. (I really don't care about the Page Rank as long as the site is running great!)

Pagerank doesn't matter much but HTML static pages seem to attract search engines more from my 'Experience'.

But hopefully your site will regain the pagerank lost, my SMF powered sites are Pagerank 1 and 2.

It will regain.

I once had an html front page before i started using a portal mod.  It dropped and then came back.  Google can be weird sometimes ya know?


3 weeks ago i added a wordpress blog to my Chevy forum, its running 3rd in the first page.

We all need to play the waiting game.
