Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '*' in /home/col4six/public_html/Sources/Subs.php on line 905

thats the error i get. can somebody give me a fresh clean subs.php that i can use? i can post mine but it will take a long time to get it and i need this fast to get my site back up.

thanks

Liam.

If you have any mods installed that edit Subs.php, they probably won't work then... You should have a Subs.php~ file, which is a working backup of the last edited version you had. Restore that by removing the tilde...

Alternatively, use a Subs.php file from the install package.

i do not see a "Subs.php~" file and can u support me with a fresh subs.php file? thanks

TheOne0522

also, i have installed a NEW SMF to my site both 1.1.11 and rc2 but still same error

Hi,

Please try the one I attached, it should work, it's from the RC2 because you said that you have RC2 installed. Please consider upgrading/updating to SMF 2.0 RC3 because of the security fixes and bug crushes.

royalduke, i am so sorry, i dont have rc2 i have rc3. it was a bad mistake. thanks

I don't think they make much of a difference but I might be wrong, anyways try the one I attached right now.

I don't think this is hosting related... It seems like there is a error in coding of sub.php but for some reason rewritting the sub.php with a clean file doesn't work >.< Weird.

It is not really a good idea to use a fresh file sometimes like this instance because there are many other things that are related to the subs.php file on your forum page.

Please attach the one you had previously before you replaced it with the fresh one if you want us to look into it.

Feel free to hit the green button which says "Mark Topic Solved" just at the left bottom corner after the last post in the topic if this is resolved. :)
