Admin password got screwed

I just recently made lagre upgrade smf 2.0 rc2 to smf 2.0 rc3.
While uprgading the forum, I thought I mistyped admin password because I couldn't get the upgrading to start. I was able to start the upgrade when I bypassed the admin security check. But before that i somehow messed up my admin password.

Upgrading went fine, but then I tried to access my forum with my admin pass, I coudn't get thru, because of the messed password.
I also tried to get new password with "password reminder" by giving the email, but I got a message... "session closed... check cookies" or something like that.

Can I re-set the admin password with phpmyadmin?

Try running repair_settings and make sure all recommended values for cookies and sessions are entered.  You might even want to try changing the cookie name.

What is repair_settings.php?

I needed to change the cookie name then I was able to reset admin password.
