OK folks I've recently taken control of a fairly old forum running SMF 1.1.11
my first thing to do was to move if to new Host (canadian web hosting to GoDaddy) and change it's domain to .co.uk from .net
I then Ran Repair_setting.php and I updated the site to 1.1.19 the site it mostly running well

now for the problems
the site has nneonneo's AJAX ShoutBox   and it is displaying the following error
"Illegal string offset 'tag' in /home/[?]/public_html/forum/Sources/Subs.php on line 1686"
and when I type something in and press enter i Get this
"No database selected
File: /home/[?]/public_html/forum/Sources/Load.php
Line: 867

Note: It appears that your database may require an upgrade. Your forum's files are currently at version SMF 1.1.19, while your database is at version 1.1.7. The above error might possibly go away if you execute the latest version of upgrade.php."

I have uninstalled it and manually reinstalled but has not worked

the site also has PHP121 and it is giving me the following error
"Fatal error: Call to undefined function import_request_variables() in /home/[?]/public_html/php121/php121db.php on line 63"

I was wondering if anyone could help please

Edit, also I am thinking about updating to 2.0.7 if anyone has any suggestions about that...

Welcome to SMF.

Will you please provide a link to your SMF installation.

Thanks it looks like you have correctly used repair settings.

Your best bet for support for the specific mod issue is in the mod's support topic at:

Did you update to 1.1.19 using updates in package manager, or the large upgrade package?

Parkage manager

Edit 1.1.14 - 1.1.15 I manually updated

I would uninstall those two mods, see if the forum is running properly and error free.  If so, back up your files and database, and use the 2.0.7 large upgrade package to upgrade to current version. If everything works, you can try installing 2.0.x versions of the mods.

apart from a few needed tweeks to a theme or two the froum is working properly, and I was thinking doing a large Upgrade would stomp out any remaining bugs however, I'm running an indie games studio as well so I have little time to do this;.

Sir Osis of Liver

When you install the large upgrade, it overwrites the 1.1.1x forum files with clean 2.0.7 files, which removes all package mods and custom edits you may have done, and updates the database to 2.0.  Updated versions of mods and themes would have to be installed after upgrade.
