On this page for Administrators (Admin>>Confirguration>>General) one sees a page of options.

The second option is "Allow guests to browse the forum."

An explanation of this option reads: "Unchecking this box will stop guests from doing anything but very basic actions - login, register, password reminder, etc. - on your forum. This is not the same as disallowing guest access to boards."

I DO WANT TO DISALLOW A GUEST ACCESS TO THE BOARDS. Any board. All boards.

How do I do that? I've looked in all the places I think such a setting should reside. But, either I cannot find it, or I don't recognize it when I stumble past it.

In each board you have  a set of permissions as to what membergroups have access. Just don't check the guest one.

Admin -> Forum -> Boards -> Modify Boards -> Click 'Modify'
DO NOT pm me for support!

actually, if you uncheck the "Allow guests to browse the forum", the guests will never see any boards, ever.

The only thing they will see is "please loign or register" period.

Please do not PM, IM or Email me with support questions.  You will get better and faster responses in the support boards.  Thank you.
