Inside the action stats, there is history of the forum, which tells you how many years you have been since the database was created. I would like to know how to reset that field, without having to start a new database. Thank you so much.

there is no easy way to do this.

-- even creating a new database won't help if you import the old data.
Basically, this value is determined by the CONTENTS of your site...
If you want a new site, then you need to start a new site

There isn't a specific field for that statistic, is there?  Just a history of topics/posts/members by year/month.  Why would you want to reset it?

This just came up on a 2.1 forum I've been working on, owner wanted to reset forum history to day one.  Poked around in database, emptied log_activity table, that seems to have done it.  Nothing appears to be broken (yet), forum is tracking new activity.

The reason for that is very simple. I started a project a year ago and I want to resume it now that I have time, but I don't want to empty the database, and I don't want it to appear in the activity since 2022, because there has been no activity that year.

Sir Osis, I am very grateful for the support you have given me, I am going to try to empty that log. Again, thank you very much.

A bit late to the party, but I wanted to add that it is always best to make a backup of said table first before you empty it. Matter of fact, anytime that you will edit stuff directly in the database, make first a backup of whatever table(s) that you are about to edit.

^ Yes, that's what I did.  Also edited most online stats in settings table.  So far, so good.  Both are tracking stats normally.

Yaaaas, a good solution.

Resumen: empty table log_activity
