i have another problem i got the forums to go over to working condition but no one has a user name in my mambo, they can still log into the forums, obviously, but they dont have account on mambo any way i can get this to work?

The synch tabs aren't functioning as of the beta bridge.

Users will still be migrated to Mambo as they each login, however.

thats the problem they cant log in it will say their names dont exist, so they just manually go to the forums and log in

You'll need to publish the mod_smf_login.php module or the SMF_Login bot.

Go to your Mambo admin panel.

Go to the Modules Menu.  Click on Site Modules.

Find the mod_smf_login module in the list of modules.  It might not be on the first page.

You will see a red X in the row with that module.  Click on the red X to turn it into a Green Checkmark. 

Now the module is published.

ok ok that works thanks, but um what do i do after that so that if they log into mambo they log into the forums as well?

That login module will log them into both Mambo and SMF at the same time.  And, even better, if they don't exist in Mambo yet, the login module will create them in Mambo after confirming them in SMF, and then log them into both.

Does your SMF database user have access to your Mambo database?

i never set it up to have access

The SMF database user is going to need access to the Mambo database in order to write information to Mambo.

I won't be able to login until you set up the database access.
