maximize the length of the subject

How to maximize the length of the subject of any post... user can write few word only thus how can increase..
maxlength="1000"

i' m just testing how much word u've allowed in the subject line...well i want to increase..that in mine..its very limited...

I'd figured it out that

in rct we can change the maxlength accroding to our desire  just by changign the below code maxlength in MessageIndex.template.php
<input type="text" name="subject" value="\' + subject + \'" size="60" style="width: 99%;"  maxlength="80" />

but in smf_1-0-7 what to do to increase the maxlength. I'm using saforange105 themes???

help me... i'd done many but still unsuccessful...
