Getting Search Engine Friendly URL's to work with the forum section?

Hello again all
I was wondering if there is any way to get search engine friendly url's feature of jooomla to work correctly with the board. When I enable it, it works perfectly for all other sections, but not for the forums. Is there any known work-around? Or possible a way to set SEF URL's for everything except the forums?

EDIT: OK I did a little rooting around, disabling the 404SEFx component made the forums work with SEF URL's.
It's a shame tho, becuase 404SEFx had much cleaner URL's for the rest of the page.
