Where can I find new smilies?

I love the smilies on here, cause there just like the ones on iChat (a Mac program used for AOL + .Mac IM's) but they dont work well against a black bacground. So if anyone knows some cool smilies that I can use for a near black forum please let me know. Also, im trying to modify my forum template (the one where you see your profile and stuff up top uptop upon log in) but there dont seem to be anywhere where you can change the colors! Its driving me mad personally. Also I modefied the default theme to exactly what I want, but... I have this wierd letter "V" in the upper left hand corner of the hearder, anyone know why?
