before i noticed what had happened i hit back and reclicked my topic. lol...somehow, i clicked on a topic in a board topic list...and the topic turned into a textbox so that i could edit it without reloading the page or going into the topic itself...so, heres my question ;)

was that just a fluke of firefox, or is there some way with "quick moderate" stuff turned on that i can edit a topics subject without opening it?

It's a feature in SMF 1.1. With quick moderation enabled you can double click the subject cell and it will let you edit the subject name there. :)

If you double click on the box that contains the subject, (but not clicking the subject itself), your forum will open a box to edit the subject. Edit it and hit ENTER, then you'll have a new subject.

We name this "AJAX edit" :)

Sorry akabugeyes, already typed!

ok so it was a fluke of this trackpad on the laptop. lol...it happened, and i wrote it off and clicked something else, then my brain went "hey...a textbox just opened there" and i went back trying to get it to do it again. no luck...lol

ok, new question. LOL... does "ajax edit" do anything? it opens the textbox, and i made a change to one..and hit enter...page reloaded, but its still got the old subject. ;)
