You can always check with Grudge to see when his shoutbox mod will be updated. I believe he is without reliable access through 1 January, so it may be just a bit before that gets updated. You can also check with the other mod authors about the status of their shoutbox mods.

Actually no compatible version shoutbox for smf1.1.1
When in Grudge no response for the update of the ultimate shoutbox...

it any more but does not remain to have patience for the ptp new fashion of mkc. No follow-up of the mods here.........
