signature character limits and bbc tags.

• is there any way to not include bbc tags in character count of signatures?
• is there any way to count displayed characters rather than typed characters?

for example, if someone uses a url tag like so: url=somewhere.someplace.com]click![/url]
the signature character count (if you include the leading [ <---) would be 41, but actual displayed characters are only 6.

No there isn't. I'm not sure why you'd want to do things that way anyway.
