I'm set as an admin on my forums, and recently added myself as a moderator to for a couple of boards. Now instead of having the admin title and images, I have the mod title and images... Admin is still my primary usergroup, so I'd have expected that to remain in effect.

(I didn't post this in the bugs section as this may be by design...)

Yeah I believe thats supposed to happen.

Grudge

Yea - that is intended. Admins have all the powers moderators do - so if you set yourself as a moderator for a board, SMF assumes that you must want to be referred to as a moderator of that board - otherwise why would you do it?

EDIT: Hope my reply made sense - little cryptic :)
I'm only a half geek really...

Mike Bobbitt

No, that makes sense... It was how I was planning to get board notifications, but now I've just subscribed to the board instead.

Thanks

Being a moderator doesn't give you board notifications.  You would still have to subscribe to get those.

Mike Bobbitt

True, but you can change the board settings to send notifications to the mods, which is the way I was going to work. Either one will do the same thing...
