SMF Version: SMF 1.0.8
I set all the attachement options like max sizes, extensions etc and i gave permissions for everyone exept for guests to upload or view attachments. I tried to attach a really small pic but this message appears:
hxxp:i54.photobucket.com/albums/g116/dvicus/hiba1.jpg [nonactive]
i tried to upload a 200x200 pixel 32 KB file.
These are the settings:
hxxp:i54.photobucket.com/albums/g116/dvicus/hiba2.jpg [nonactive]
What else do I have to do??? I have no idea...  :'(

DO NOT BUMP TOPICS NEWER THAN 24 HOURS. Continuing to do this will result in improperly bumped topics being locked.

Check the permissions on your attachments directory. They should be set to 777.

This is the first time i try to use php. Can you tell me where can i do this exactly? Thanks for the help!

This isn't a PHP thing, it is a file thing. You can use an FTP program (perhaps the one you used to upload SMF to the server) and set the permissions on the attachments directory to 777.

In which file do i have to modify something? Or where can i find the thing i have to overwrite?
I use total commander and filezilla to upload the files to the server.
Sorry for being so uncomprehending but i dont really understand how this forum works... yet :)
Thanks for your patience :)

It's quite easy to do with FileZilla. After you login, browse to your forum directory.
Right-click on "attachments" and choose "File properties"
Check all the boxes and click "OK".

I did it but the same error message appears: "Your attachment couldn't be saved. This might happen because it took too long to upload or the file is bigger than the server will allow.
Please consult your server administrator for more information."
